O.S. Multiseat is a system developed by O.S. Systems based on open technologies. It enables up to ten users with distinct displays, keyboards and mouse devices by using a single central processing unit (CPU). It provides virtual desktops with audio and individual mapping of removable USB devices with security and stability.
The system uses HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) and D-Bus (Desktop Bus) technologies to manage the virtual desktops. That makes O.S. Multiseat quite independent of the GNU/Linux distribution used on the computer that hosts the solution, being compatible with all the most popular distributions on the market, as Debian, OpenSuse, Fedora, RedHat, among others.
It is ideal for university computer labs, call centers and telemarketing centers. It can also be explored anywhere there is a large number of computers close to each other, such as on computer farms in corporative environments of administration or specific tasks.
